DESIRE Project
We have always loved sport as a source of cohesion, personal growth and inspiration. For years we have worked to spread a culture of sport among adults and children alike, with the aim of sharing emotions together, always.
That is why we support the DESIRE Project, which promotes sailing activities aimed at young people, with national and international events on social, cultural and environmental themes. We believe that continuous stimulation helps create a context in which the problems and burdens of everyday life are greatly reduced, even forgotten altogether, promoting the social reintegration and recovery of young people who may face difficulties that are not only physical but also related to socialising.
The testimonials of the DESIRE Project are two Olympic stars: Daniele Scarpa and Sandra Truccolo.
Daniele Scarpa
Former Italian canoeist. He won two medals at Atlanta 1996: paired with Antonio Rossi (gold in the K2 1000 m) and with Beniamino Bonomi (silver in the K2 500 m). He also won two world titles in 1995 and was Italian champion 37 times.
Sandra Truccolo
Two-time world champion and European champion once; twice Paralympic gold medallist in team archery at Atlanta and Sydney, silver in individual archery at Atlanta 1996 and silver in team archery at Athens 2004. Besides archery she has practised other sports: diving, canoeing, skiing, a safe-driving course on snow and ice and a FISAPS motor-racing course.
